New Arrival | S.N.S Herning

Friday September 30, 2011

S.N.S. Herning have produced superbly knit woolens on their highly specialized German and English made knitting machines since 1920. Sören made his living by selling hand knitted garments out of Herning, Jutland, his hometown in Denmark. This fall collection is made up of patterns chosen from the company’s sizeable archives with the production supervised by the son of the company’s founder, Soren Nielsen Skyt. S. N. S. Herning knits are crafted using the initial machines, in the original factory. Today 5 people make up the employees at the small factory in Herning, Jutland, 3 of them knitters, who hand-sign the swing tag on each unique sweater. They make around 2,500 sweaters each year. Well known for their durability and warmth, these knits are favourites among fishermen and fashion folks alike. Head to the Online Store and look at the fall collection.
