Men may prefer a single watch for general wear, but even if we aren't attuned to fashion or don't want every feature, there are still occasions when separate watches can be of great use. Here are two timepieces, with specific purposes that can cover those events when a simple, everyday watch isn't quite enough.

The Standard Issue Field Watch features a manually wound Weiss Caliber 1001 mechanical movement comprised of over 100 Swiss parts that are hand-finished and assembled in L.A., California. The case and caseback are machined from one solid piece of stainless steel and polished individually by hand. Sapphire crystals are used on the front and back of the case for strength, durability and to display the highly finished movement inside. Note, the option of having 2 watch straps is great for complimenting all occasions.

Hand built in Detroit to Swiss-quality standards, Shinola flies the flag for first class American craftsmanship and this handsome chronograph watch is a case in point. From the robust stainless steel case, sapphire crystal lens and supple leather strap from the legendary Horween tannery, this piece embodies the brand’s considered, home-grown approach to design.
