New at Roden Gray for S/S ’12 is One Nine Zero Six.

Every piece from One Nine Zero Six is designed and manufactured in England by Gymplex using traditional British fabrics like Ventile Cotton, along with proprietary textiles like their (take a deep breath) "two fold Egyptian long-staple cotton pique jersey".

Founded in 1906, Gymphlex have developed sportswear, workwear and high performance fabrics for over one hundred years. The company have have manufactured for some of the most renowned English brands including Burberry and Barbour and dressed British sporting champions, the oldest English schools and the British military. The company has flown below the radar for the last few decades, but enjoyed a resurgence in popularity with the Japanese market where heritage-obsessed shoppers coveted the brand's classic sportswear.

For Spring/Summer 2012, One Nine Zero Six has used "fabrics with form that have been carefully selected to give a clean lined appearance to the outerwear" along with beautiful linens for shirting and versatile British fabrics like waxed cotton and Ventile for outerwear.
