Hailing from Antwerp, Belgium, Dries Van Noten began his fashion career as part of the storied "Antwerp Six", a collective made up of six designers who graduated from the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts between 1980 and 1981 and quickly put the city on the map for avant-garde fashion design.
