Stella McCartney graduated from Central St Martins in 1995 and almost immediately enjoyed critical and commercial success with her first two collections. After a tenure as creative director at Chloe, McCartney launched her eponymous line in 2001. Starting with women’s ready-to-wear the label soon branched out into accessories, lingerie, eyewear, fragrance and kids, in addition to a long-standing collaboration with adidas. This fall she debuted her first menswear collection, which injects modern energy into timeless classics and bridges the gap between formal and casual.
As a lifelong vegetarian, McCartney does not use any leather or fur in her designs and maintains a strict commitment to sustainable and ethical fashion.
