Raf Simons’ Fall/Winter 2018 collection “Youth in Motion” marks a renewed and nuanced appreciation of some more troubling aspects of modern social reality. Simons employs two majors works that present a sort of dialogue on the complexity and hardships of drug use and youth, without condoning or condemning their creators. The cover image of Cookie Mueller and Glenn O’Brien’s cult screenplay “DRUGS” is used throughout the collection, while the graphics prominently feature stills from the 1981 film “Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo [We Children of Bahnhof Zoo].” See our editorial page for a full explanation of the collection.

"Not to show clothes, but an attitude." The spring collection from Raf Simons pulls inspiration from the punk era in the UK. The Belgian designer attempts to capture the underground fashion culture by creating pieces influenced by music, and rebellious youth culture. Shaved heads, industrial sized safety pin earrings are put onto graphics featured throughout this line. Large fitting t-shirts, oversized bags, stand out graphics with vivid colours while blending streetwear and tailored looks are what make this collection so unique.View Collection
