Canada Goose was founded in the 1950s under the Metro Sportswear Ltd. name, and originally specialized in woolen vests, raincoats, and snowmobile suits for athletes and multiple Canadian task forces braving the coldest climates. The ubiquitous goose parka would eventually be developed along with a new brand label – “Snow Goose.” After years of field testing with scientists at Antarctica’s McMurdo Station, this parka has evolved into the definitive silhouette we see everywhere. Now embracing a worldwide luxury market, Canada Goose has exploded into mainstream popularity after decades of purposed development.
